Want to see more without the hassle? Go hiking with a guide. They know the terrain inside and out, take you off the beaten track, tell you about nature, the rocks, the local stories... and keep you from getting lost! Whether you're a weekend walker or a hiking enthusiast, this is the ideal option to fully enjoy the scenery, safely, and with a fresh perspective.
In the Aubenas-Vals region, hiking associations are much more than just walking clubs. They are teams of enthusiasts who share their knowledge of the terrain and transmit their love of the Ardèche step by step. They regularly organize friendly outings, open to all levels. By joining one of these associations, you can join hikes, discover secret spots, and walk in good company, always on good foot and in good spirits!
Randamont: hiking, flavors, and Occitan in the soul
Since 1991, the Randamont association has been making the territory walk in the literal and figurative sense: marked trails, monthly outings for members (or curious one-day visitors), chestnut festival with AOP producers and fanfare music in the alleyways… And for lovers of words, a workshop in Occitan from Lower Vivarais animates the Maison de la Randonnée in Antraigues-sur-Volane every Friday.
Born from a small group of friends, the Vivarois Hiking Club now brings together more than 350 enthusiasts around Aubenas and Privas. The program includes several hikes per week, around ten stays per year, health and Nordic walking sections, all in a super-friendly atmosphere.
The club focuses on training its leaders (80 volunteers, 15 of whom are certified!) and is committed to eco-responsible tourism and sharing the trails, even during hunting season. Want to walk, chat, and breathe? You've come to the right place.
