Les guinguettes du jeudi : marché de producteurs, artisans, concerts

Do you know Saint-Étienne-de-Boulogne? It's a small village nestled among chestnut trees, just below the Col de l'Escrinet pass, a 20-minute drive from Aubenas. Locals know it for its friendly atmosphere. In fact, people come from far and wide to enjoy the village's open-air cafes. They come with family and friends to savor the artisanal sausages bought on-site, which they then grill themselves on the barbecue provided. But there's also everything you can imagine: ice cream, crêpes, fries, and omelets. Even vegetarians will leave with a full stomach.
It must be said that every Thursday during the summer, the whole village rolls up its sleeves to set up tables and benches, light barbecues, heat up fryers, chill the beer tap (to be consumed in moderation, as you know), install signs for the parking lot in the field… In short, let me tell you, you and your whole tribe are eagerly awaited.
From 18:30 pm onwards, the village square fills with children running between the stalls selling fruit, local crafts, and much more. The tables start to fill up (yes, we advise you to arrive early if you want to eat in peace). We bring out the plates (yes, we recommend bringing your own dishes: it's much nicer than paper plates). And so begins the best part of summer. Well, at least, our favorite part.
