In November, Aubenas pulsates to the rhythm of European cinema. Screenings, previews, discussions, and emotions intertwine to create a vibrant, inquisitive, and welcoming festival. Established names and emerging talents forge connections between cultures and perspectives.
The Rencontres des Cinémas d'Europe (European Film Encounters) celebrate their 28th edition and reaffirm their essential place on the European film scene. For nine days, Aubenas becomes a true crossroads of emotions and discoveries, where the diversity and richness of cinema are showcased in an authentic and welcoming setting. This year, 90 carefully selected films, both short and feature-length, are presented in the Panorama, Retrospective, Young Audience, and 15-25 year-old sections. With fifteen exclusive premieres, trips to Poland to explore cinematic cultures, exchanges with passionate professionals, and innovations and experiments to savor, the festival is open to everyone, from spectators to professionals, and its influence extends throughout the region, offering a unique event where curiosity, inspiration, and emotion intertwine.
