Camping le Moulin de Charrier

The Moulin de Charrier Natural Camping Area, bathed by the Besorgues River and its waterfalls, offers 18 bare pitches to campers, motorhome owners and caravanners, wishing to stay in a preserved natural space.
In the charming Besorgues Valley, in the heart of the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Natural Park, our natural campsite comprises 18 shaded pitches and a thatched hut on a hectare of land bordering the river. It is located in the Ardèche Cévennes, 20 km from Aubenas, 12 km from Vals-les-Bains, and 8 km from Antraigues-sur-Volane.
You will reserve your beach hut, set up your own camp or install your caravan/motorhome (max length 6m) on one of the pitches set up by the river, along the irrigation channels of the old mill or on the terraces of the estate.
Animals accepted only outside July and August and kept on a leash
The Moulin de Charrier Natural Area is part of an environmentally friendly tourism approach with the aim of preserving natural spaces.
Choosing a natural area as your vacation destination is a commitment to an environmentally friendly vacation. We are committed to responsible consumption, implementing selective sorting and composting food waste, and encouraging eco-friendly actions and local consumption. We collaborate with local stakeholders who are committed to this goal: farmers, breeders, artisans, grocers, bistro owners, bakers, and more.
The estate's terraces are cultivated using permaculture methods and offer seasonal fruits and vegetables.
The mill inn offers seasonal salads, local platters, ravioli gratins, caillettes, a gourmet snack, local sorbets and ice creams… to be consumed on site and prepared mainly from local and organic products.
On Thursday evenings in July and August, the association Les Amis de la Vallée de la Besorgues organizes a weekly market of local producers and artisans in order to connect tourists, inhabitants of our valley and local players.
We participate in the conservation and promotion of local heritage by offering guided tours of the mill, which is currently undergoing restoration.
All this teamwork is highlighted during the European Festival of Mills and Milling Heritage, which takes place every year at the Charrier Mill on the third Sunday of May, and where the different facets of the good life and know-how are showcased with a program including guided tours, conferences, a market of artisans and producers, botanical walks, and catering based on local and organic products…
