Vannerie Métisse
As a basket maker, I braid, weave and mix plant fibres (wicker, hazelnut, jasmine, etc.) and textiles in my workshop.
I organize courses to introduce amateurs to the art of basketwork and share my passion for this ancestral know-how.
I create creations from plant fibers: bags, baskets, lampshades, jewelry, accessories... Each piece is unique because I work by instinct, after having been trained in traditional basketwork.
I collect some of my raw material and offer introductory or advanced workshops.
I can bring some worn items back to life (depending on the condition of the item).

Eco-conception :
I collect plant matter in the forest or along riverbanks. It grows back spontaneously the following year.
I use rainwater to soften the strands. My main working tool is my body (I also have a knife and pruning shears).
Compostable waste, ideal for lighting the fireplace... and making charcoal for drawing.
