At the crossroads of traditions and know-how, this museum space invites you on an astonishing cultural and heritage journey in the high Cévennes of Ardèche.

In a beautiful residence renovated in the 18th century, go back in time to meet a great Valsoise family, discover the history of the spa resort and the mineral waters of Vals-les-Bains but also the know-how of the inhabitants of the high Cévennes of Ardèche illustrated by numerous period documents.
Over 300 m² and two levels, models, reconstructions, video films and collection material reveal a secret, authentic and lively Ardèche.
The game booklet allows a visit at child's height (from 7 years old).
Visit: 1 hour – Guided tour: 1-30 hours by appointment.
Reception of schoolchildren by appointment, educational workshops according to the cycles.
The Champanhet house is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Parking: 2 disabled parking spaces (1 in front of the Museum and 1 next to the Town Hall).
Access for people with reduced mobility and strollers: access via rue Jean Jaurès, then take the footbridge. Inside, access to the upper floor via the elevator.
