Maison de la Lavande Ardèche / Producteur-Distillateur & Musée

Located at the gateway to the Ardèche Gorges, in an authentic and natural setting, the Lavender House offers 3 activities around lavender: A guided tour of the museum with the little train, creative workshops and a treasure hunt.

Live a Lavandissime experience at the Maison de la Lavande!

Welcome to the heart of the Ardèche Gorges in an authentic setting. The Lavender House welcomes you from April to September, just outside the village of Saint-Remèze, a few minutes from the Pont d'Arc. Three lavender-themed activities await you!

– Guided tour of the museum: Hop aboard the Little Lavender Train for a tour of the estate! An unforgettable experience that will delight both young and old. Enjoy an immersive experience in the 360° room with the show "Marius and the History of Lavender." With a guide, you will then discover all the secrets of lavender in the Still Room and the Scent Room. Finally, witness the authentic extraction of essential oil through distillation on a period still.

– Lavender creative workshops:
Guided by an instructor, you'll create three fragrant products: handmade soap, relaxing bath salts, a candle, massage oil, or a lavender flower sachet. A fun activity to share with family or friends! Workshops are suitable for children aged 5 and up when accompanied by an adult.

– The Treasure Hunt: a fun family activity that invites you to explore the grounds independently. Grandpa Caesar has disappeared with his sheep; can you find him using your map and the 8 Mystery Locations? Along the way, riddles and fun signs will teach you all about the flora and fauna of our garrigue!

Organize your visit:
On-site amenities include a bar, an ice cream parlor, and snack bar serving local produce, as well as a panoramic terrace. Shaded areas with picnic tables are available for lunch breaks. Children can enjoy several activities: an educational area about bees, a playground with zip lines, and a treasure hunt.

Both of our shops are open to the public.
The Maison de la Lavande & Lavandaïs shop will seduce you with its lavender and Provence-based products: essential oils, natural cosmetics, perfumes, handcrafted soaps, not forgetting the essential lavender sachets!
The big new feature this year is the Comptoir Gourmand, a fine grocery store where you can discover our local or regional products with tasting possible in the summer season.
