Domaine du Mas d'Intras

A 25-hectare family wine estate in organic farming, Mas d'Intras welcomes you all year round to introduce you to its IGP Ardèche wines. Selected by “The tasty Ardèche stages” “Taste the Ardèche” and “Vignobles & Découvertes”.
Le Mas d'Intras is a family business of 7 people, managed in Gaec by two cousins, Denis ROBERT and Sébastien PRADAL, located in Valvignères since 1982 in the heart of a small valley in southern Ardèche.
The AB label is not an end in itself, quite the contrary, it is a starting point towards even more peaceful viticulture, better and healthier wines, greater pleasure in the work and tasting!
Grassing, low addition of sulfites, spontaneous fermentation, respect for the trees surrounding the plots, solar-heated vats, recycled cork stoppers and cardboard... Our philosophy is consistent across the entire production chain in terms of energy, health, landscape maintenance and employment.
Being environmentally responsible is a matter of observation, reflection and awareness.
Our wide range of grape varieties allows us to produce different wines, from relatively light to much more full-bodied while respecting traditions.
The Vignerons Indépendants logo guarantees that the wine is produced only from grapes grown on the estate and that bottling takes place on the property.
Coach parking <8m long.
On request: free tour of the cellar (1/2 hour to 1 hour).
Winegrower's walk (2 hours) by appointment only: discover the vine, its organic cultivation, its environment, its stories and legends. The walk is punctuated by wine tasting (fruit juice for the little rascals) and local products and followed by a cellar visit following the path of the grape grain that became a drop of wine... Paid.

A small family business of seven people, we produce certified organic wines and handle everything from the vineyard to bottling ourselves. Going organic is a commitment to responsible behavior. Our work is fueled by observation, reflection, and awareness. The estate has been 7% organic since 100.
We have refined our method by plowing 1 row out of 2 to allow rainwater to penetrate the soil better, while leaving the other row grassy, then in recent years we have been plowing 2 rows out of 3. Finally, we have invested in machines that plow the soil under the row of vines and have allowed us to eliminate herbicides 100%.
We use organic amendments, including composted grape pomace. In this way, the byproducts of wine production return to the soil… Phytosanitary treatment – Solar-heated tanks – Use of "evolution" bottles – Bottles: recycling or reuse – Use of natural corks – Reuse of wine boxes – Public transport and river transport –
Denis ROBERT and Sébastien PRADAL, independent winegrowers since 1982, are at the helm of MAS D'INTRAS: a 25-hectare vineyard in southern Ardèche cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming methods on the land of their ancestors. With a strong desire to pass on a preserved heritage to future generations, the environmental commitment of Mas d'Intras goes far beyond the simple organic label.
