An authentic heritage to discover
Fons is not lacking in heritage: a church completed in 1873, a fountain topped with a XNUMXth-century cross with its old washhouse, and a castle that could well have been the hunting lodge of the Lord of Vogüé. If you look up (and keep your eyes open), you will also discover the many crosses that mark the village, witnesses to the past.
A playground for outdoor enthusiasts
Exploring the paths around Fons, you'll stumble upon capitelles – dry-stone shelters that tell the story of pastoral life in bygone days – hidden springs, 19th-century mining remains, and even, on the edge of the Bois de Vogüé, a mysterious sandstone sarcophagus. Enough to whet your appetite for exploration!
Hiking and mountain biking: it’s your turn!
Fancy stretching your legs? Several trails await you, including the shaded loop in the Bois de Vogüé (9 km) , ideal for a lovely family outing. Mountain biking enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy with the FCI trails surrounding the village.
