Discover Juvinas
Wild nature and authentic old stones

In Juvinas, nature reigns supreme and heritage is eternal. The hamlets climb the mountainside, like guardians of centuries-old chestnut groves. A stroll through this village offers the chance to discover buildings whose history dates back to the 1857th century, and to be lulled by the peace and harmony of the place. From the village square, you can admire the spectacular Aizac Valley. Heritage lovers won't want to miss the late Romanesque-style church, enlarged in XNUMX.
Trails suspended between heaven and earth

For hikers seeking breathtaking panoramas, the Sainte-Marguerite site is a must-see. The chapel that stands there, at an altitude of 1000 meters, offers breathtaking views of the Escrinet, the Tanargue mountain range, the Pre-Alps, and the majestic Mont Ventoux. It's a place where time seems to stand still, where each peak tells a story, and where the soul is recharged by contact with unspoiled nature.
The Juvinas Meteorite: a witness to the universe
Juvinas is not only rich in its landscapes, but also in a celestial event that marked its history: the fall of a meteorite in 1821 in the hamlet of Libonès. On June 15 of that year, at 15 p.m., a deafening explosion shook the Ardèche region, followed by a shower of star fragments. Weighing more than 90 kg upon its arrival, this aerolite still fascinates today and is carefully preserved at the Natural History Museum in Paris. Its echo can still be heard in the stories of villagers and passionate scientists.
